Description: A human being is an extremely dangerous creature.
Moreover, a group of them working in a highly organized manner toward a unified desired end state makes them much deadlier than the sum of their parts.
The concept of Small Unit Tactics (SUT) is internationally prolific. SWAT/SRT, Special Operations, Counter-Terrorism, Recon, Intelligence, Executive Protection, Private Military, or Private Security – it’s always a collection of smaller teams that move the big teams forward.
Whether you’re looking to protect your church on Sunday or trying to get a job as a high-risk private security contractor, it is your ability to work within a team that is cared about much more than your list of individual capabilities. (It is for this reason that you will rarely find work in an environment where real violence is expected without someone to vouch for you…)
The purpose of the SUT1 course is to introduce the individual operator to some of the tactics utilized by small teams in order for him/her to operate within a small unit environment more efficiently and plan against enemy small unit assault tactics capably.
In SUT1, you will:
- Compare and contrast military vs. LEO vs. private security vs. civilian/“grid-down” small unit tactics and principles and then apply them to various mission sets.
- Learn and practice team movements across different land features and danger areas.
- Learn and practice various actions on contact with an enemy force.
- Learn and practice various methods of live-fire bounding maneuvers.
- Learn and practice “weapons flow” in a compressed environment for safety, efficiency, and speed.
- Learn and practice ways to communicate with your team verbally and non-verbally to outwit and outmaneuver your opponent(s) at real-life speeds.
- …and much more!
