Pistols & Carbines (Flex)

Welcome to Flexible Training Courses!

This is a REVOLUTION. Please let us explain:

If you have just bought your first pistol, and you have no idea what to do yet: Sign up for this course!

If you are a seasoned warfighter and you want to add more tools to the toolbox: Sign up for this course!

If you trained with your pistol last time you came to a Flex course, bring your AR-15 this time and we'll get you started there too!  It's up to you!

Here's the thing: We just can't take the thought of you sitting at home when you could be training, but instead, you're stuck waiting on that "Pistol 2" class that isn't happening for three more months! Noooooooo!

So, we're changing all the rules to bring you as many dates as possible, so there are More Options, More Classes, More Instructors, MORE DAYS ON THE RANGE, NO EXCUSES!

Bring your pistol or your carbine for 8 HOURS of safe and effective training with certified instructors!

No matter your experience level, we will accommodate you.

We have a BIG RANGE with lots of room, so we can spread out and do many things at once!

Note: Pistol 1, Pistol 2, Carbine 1, and Carbine 2, etc., ALL STILL EXIST - they just exist INSIDE of the Flex courses. (See Q&A below)

When you click Get Tickets, the next screen will give you an option to select a ticket for Pistol or Carbine. ONLY SELECT ONE. Choose whichever weapon system is the primary reason for your training day, even if you know both systems may get used throughout the day.  No worries, we will verify the fine details before class.

The AR-15 is one of the best defensive weapon systems ever created and according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), there are over 20-million AR-15-style rifles legally in circulation in the United States.

Just because a lot of people own them doesn’t mean a lot of people know how to use them. We aim to change that. Learning to use your AR-15 isn’t just about home defense or fun--it’s literally about national security. If you own an AR-15 carbine, it is your responsibility to know how to use it like a professional. That won’t happen if it’s sitting in a gun safe or leaned up against a closet wall.

Carbine is for beginners and experienced shooters alike.

We guarantee you will learn valuable skills and become efficient in the use of your AR-15.

YOU WILL LEARN:

New Students:

  • The Physiology and Psychology of Shooting and Marksmanship
  • Everything you ever wanted to know about the AR-15 Carbine
  • How to “Zero” your carbine sights and optics. Red dots, holographics, ACOG-type or open sights are recommended, but LPVOs are also fine. High Magnification optics are not recommended for these courses. Check out our Scoped Carbine or Overwatch Operator courses for that.
  • How to use tactical shooting stances and positions for better shooting and less exposure
  • How to utilize the 5 Controls of Marksmanship for high-level accuracy
  • How to shoot quickly, accurately, and repeatedly
  • Dry fire drills you can do at home
  • How to fix malfunctions quickly under stress
  • How to perform fast reloads under stress.
  • Methods for shooting from behind cover.

  • Become FAST when you transition from your carbine to your sidearm, and back.
  • Learn and employ advanced techniques for complex problem sets and cover configurations.

  • Start learning and applying principles of teamwork and communication.

Q&A

Q: What will be printed on my Official Training Certificate when I finish the day?

A: Your Official Training Certificate will state the type of firearm you were trained on and for how many hours you trained.

-

Q: What about the levels, like Pistol 1, Pistol 2, etc.?  I want to know my level!

A: We like to advance too. We get it. There are "Test" dates scheduled throughout the calendar for clients who like to know where they rate on the Charts of Greatness. These are voluntary tests, and we test each student based on how many hours of training they've accrued. If the minimum criteria are met during these tests, you're awarded an Official Training Certificate which states your current Level.

-

Q: Do my previously completed courses still count toward prerequisite requirements for higher level classes?

A: Of course! (If you did them with us. If you trained somewhere else - maybe.)

-

Q: Can I train for half a day?

A: Yes, but only the first half. You can leave at lunch and get a 4-hour certificate. You can REQUEST to come for the afternoon portion of the class if you're an experienced student. Depending on enrollments and other factors, we might say yes.

-

Q: Can I train for half the day on my Pistol and half the day on my Carbine?

A: If you've accrued at least 8 hours on Pistol and 8 hours on Carbine, yes, but this is also dependent on instructor load and enrollments for the day. (Advanced carbine students WILL utilize both a pistol and a carbine on the same day as it is a part of the advanced carbine skills package.)

-

Q: So, let me get this straight: My wife and I are at different levels, by a LOT. She just bought a brand new pistol, and I want to rip it up with the boys with my trusty old AR-15.  Are you saying we can both come on the same day, train separately, hang out at lunch, see each other throughout the day, and I don't have to just be away from home?  I'm not sure I want to tell my wife.

A: Yes. We'll line up the instructors for you guys. Tell your wife. She's a good woman.
