SCOPED CARBINE / RIFLE

• Course Length: 8 hours
• Time: 9 AM to 5 PM - plan to arrive a few minutes early for prep
• Place: Sign-in at Hunt's Hardware & Guns at 205 E Main Street Miller, MO 65707. Please try to arrive by 0845.
• Prerequisites: None

Description: This course is the entryway to becoming a capable long-range shooter in real time.

• Participants will learn how to work with a spotter and make appropriate scope adjustments to engage targets out to 400 yards.
• We start at the beginning to make sure marksmanship fundamentals are thoroughly understood before progressing into live fire.
• Participants will learn a new vocabulary and will compare and contrast the differences between long-range shooting and "overwatch" operations.

While this course does include a wide array of medium-range shooting drills and exercises, it is important to note that this course is not intended to be "bench-rest" shooting.  This course is a necessary step to gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for conducting protective operations from clandestine locations at medium to long ranges in our Overwatch Operator courses.

We will conduct drills based on your skill and fitness level.
